Composing Shapes

This year is flying by and we are already well into our 5th module for math! In this module we learn about defining attributes of 2D and 3D shapes, we compose and decompose shapes, learn about fractions, and learn to read time to the hour and half hour — it’s a pack module! Yesterday, after a week of learning about defining attributes and naming shapes, we began making larger shapes from smaller shapes (or – composing shapes!). Check us out in action!

See if your child can tell you about some of the shapes we have learned — rectangle, triangle, rhombus, trapezoid, hexagon, and square! Stay tuned tomorrow for a post about our animal research books — we are working hard and making great progress!!
