Happy Halloween!

We had a very exciting, fun Halloween in Room 202. The day began with Morning Meeting where we continued our study from last week- working on interpreting feelings through facial and body expressions. What  a more perfect way to do this than with PUMPKINS! Each child had to draw a feeling on their pumpkin and then we shared and tried to guess each pumpkin’s feeling. Here are a few unique examples that rocked! Can you guess how each pumpkin below feels? 🙂

After a short phonics and reading lesson, it was time for our Halloween Party! Snacks, drinks, goody-bags, and an adorable craft made our party super enjoyable for everyone. THANK YOU so much to the sweet mamas that came in to help out: Mary-Cathryn Kolb, Kristin Highsmith, Tamika Fitzgibbons, Julie Schirmer, and Jessica Donahue! We couldn’t have done it without you 🙂

And, of course, here are our adorable costumes 🙂

I hope everyone had a great time trick-or-treating! I’m preparing for some tired, candy-filled kiddos in the morning 🙂
