We spent the week reviewing how we count skip count by 10. We explored a hundred’s chart and noticed that when we skip count by 10 the numbers start at the top corner of the grid and go down, down, down. Here’s a video of us skip counting by 10 showing how the numbers move on the hundred’s chart.
We marked the pattern on a 120 grid in our “Inquiry Notebooks” and did an activity where the students had to find each skip count and put it in correct counting order. I think we have a pretty good grasp on this concept and I am excited to start skip counting by 5 next week 🙂
