Guess My Rule

We played a game today that was a great review of defining and non-defining attributes as well as our 2D shapes. The game is called “Guess My Rule” and the goal is to get a partner to guess what your rule is. Students had to write a rule and draw shapes that followed the rule. They could decide whether their rule contained defining attributes (like the number of sides or vertices) or non-defining attributes (like the color or pattern inside). Each child also had to draw shapes that did NOT follow the rule. This took some serious thinking skills! Here are some snapshots of us in action and some examples of wonderful work 🙂
